Wednesday's Plays

Well, yesterday we picked the Royals to win, but I'll be honest, after about the 3rd inning I had chalked that one up as a loss. The Royals didn't give up and KC fans were rewarded with their first playoff win in nearly 30 years.

Tonight we have one top play (total in the Giants/Pirates game) and one free play.

Tuesday's 3 STAR Free Play:

San Francisco Giants -111 -- Put your $ on Madison Bumgarner and the team with considerably more playoff experience. Buster Posey, Pablo Sandoval and Brandon Belt are all hitting over .400 against Volquez. Anticipate a close game, as I'm sure Pittsburgh will be rocking, but the pitching matchup clearly favors SF and you can bank on the previously mentioned trio of San Fran bats to plate 3-4 runs.

Good luck.

Tuesday's Plays

Tonight we have one top play (winner of A's/Royals) and one free play.

Tuesday's 3 STAR Free Play:

Oakland Athletics/Kansas City Royals UNDER 6.5 -- Regardless of which team you like in this game, the smart money is on the under. Jon Lester has been lights out for Oakland and Shields should be amped up pitching at home for the Royals who haven't been to the postseason since 1985.

Both pitchers have ample postseason experience -- 17 games started between tonight's pitchers. Look for Lester to give up no more than 2 runs and Shields to yield 3 at the most. If both pitchers can make it through 6 innings, each team possesses outstanding relief options (Wade Davis, Luke Gregorson, Sean Doolittle, Greg Holland, etc.) who can definitely keep this game under a total of 7 runs.

Monday's Plays

Sunday we hit a 3-team parlay (Green Bay, Detroit under, and Tampa Bay), but outside of that, it was a pretty lackluster day. Philly played a great 1st half, but folded late and we lost with Philly +4.5. Some places did have Philly as +5, so a few may have pushed with that play. The Pittsburgh/Tampa Bay under looked great and would have resulted in a parlay win (Tampa Bay +7.5 plus the under in that game) but the Buccaneers mounted a pretty incredible drive and scored the game-winning touchdown with just 7 seconds remaining.

Sunday's card:
Green Bay -2 W
Carolina +3.5 L
Oakland +3.5 L
Det under 44.5 W
Tampa +7.5 W
Philly +4 L
Atlanta -4 (small play) L
New Orleans -3 L
NO/D over 54.5 W
